Plotting to the HayesPlotter2 from AutoCAD 2007

When plotting from AutoCad, the first step you must take is to first select the line weights desired to plot with. Go File, and then Page setup and select from the list. If you desire to create your own custom line weights then you must always insert them into the Plot Style Manager before trying to select them off the list.

Step 1: From Layout space, Select File, then Plot.

Step 2 : Select printer \\arpl-5\HayesPlotter2 from the drop down menu.

Step 3: Select the correct roll number for the paper type that you want to plot on.

Step 4: Under 'Application Page Size', click the More Sizes button to customize the paper size that you want to use.

Step 5: Either type the paper size that you want to plot onto, or click the down arrow in the window labeled: custom paper sizes and select from the long list of standard paper sizes. Select OK to close all dialog boxes.

Step 6: Check to ensure that the Plot Scale is selected as reading 1:1.

Step 4: Select Preview to ensure your plot file has been configured correctly. If everything looks fine, in the preview window, right click and select Plot to send your file to the plotter.
