Using the Portfolio printer

Using the Portfolio printer is pretty straight forward as long as you take an extra moment to make sure that you have selected the right options when selecting the paper you want.

  • Creating a booklet

The printer is loaded with the following paper types:

  • 11” x 17” Hammermill 80 lb cover stock (0$.98 / per side)
  • 8.5” x 11” Hammermill 80 lb cover stock (0$.49 / per side)
  • 8.5” x 11” Mohawk 90 cover gloss (a heavier version of the soft gloss paper loaded in the HayesColor printer) (0$.49 / per side)
  • 8.5” x 11” bright white paper (0$.49 / per side) (DEFAULT)

Please make sure that you have selected the following options when printing to the following paper types:

11 x 17 80 lb Cover Stock ($0.98/side)

8.5 x 11 80 lb Cover Stock ($0.49/sheet):

tray 1 setup

tray 2 setup

8.5 x 11 90 lb Gloss cover stock ($0.49/sheet)

8.5 x 11 Bright white (Default)

Creating a booklet

You can use the portfolio printer to create a complete folded and stapled booklet. Follow these directions:

How to create booklet

This will allow you to take a multi-paged document and create a professional looking folded and stapled final document.

1. Select the paper size that you want to use under the Original size option drop down box.

2. Selec the paper type that you want to use by selecting the Paper Source.

3. Under the binding area of the properties window, select the print type to be: BOOKLET

4. Place a check box in the FOLD & STAPLE option box.

 

Click OK and then OK again in the print window.
